DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Story time with Daniel Kitson

If Daniel Kitson approached you on the street or at a bar, you might be forgiven for edging away. Pudgy, slovenly, with a heavy beard and a slight mumble, the man is a charisma vacuum. But once he begins to speak, you won’t want to listen to anyone else. A painfully shy man who is also a master storyteller, Kitson has made a career telling tales of the sad, the ill-fated, and the overlooked. Of the awkward and uncomfortable, he sings. In his new 90-minute show, It’s Always Right Now, Until It’s Later, which begins performances at St. Ann’s Warehouse, the British performer takes on the lives of William and Caroline, two ordinary people who never quite meet except in Kitson’s poignant, hilarious narration.
